I've been having a weird problem with my HP OfficeJet 6110 (connected via USB). When trying to print, I get a "GenericClass: waiting for device" error. I've tried relying on the already installed drivers in OS X, I've tried downloading the full drivers directly from hp.com, and I've tried Gutenprint, all to no avail.
I've tried deleting everything HP-related from the system (including plist files), repairing permissions, and rebooting, then installing the full driver set again.
And on a separate but related note, my XP partition takes the printer offline every time I suspend the Fusion VM. When I attempt to take it online, the printer isn't recognized by Windows. Interestingly, Fusion itself recognizes that the printer is connected via USB, and tells me so, but XP just refuses to see it.
Anyone else experience similar errors? I've tried a few solutions I found via a Google search, but they haven't helped. I'm getting ready to throw this damn thing out the window.
