Genius bar carry spare parts

I have a quick question about the genius bar. My daughter white MB HDD just went and it now will not boot up. I tried everything to get it to come up. My question is does the genius bar stock hard drives or would this have to be sent away for repair? As I really don't want to send it away since I have several stores near me I could visit. And yes it's under apple care.

For small part like these, yes they do. If they don't they'll order the parts needed. But if it's anything more important, like the logic board or the screen, it will need to go into repair.
