Hi everyone,

I have a rMBP 13" (Late 2013). Like many others I have the problem with the coating in my screen which makes these "marks". All of these marks are not in the actual screen but on the bezel.

Yesterday I visited the Apple Store and went to the genius bar (it is under AppleCare warranty). I showed the issue to the appropriate person and they told me that this is a cosmetic issue and that is why I cannot get it fixed. However, she told me that she will try to do the best and replace it.

Also, she told me that if the laptop has water in it, then they definitely cannot get it fixed. However, AppleCare says that it must not work because of the water damage, since the screen is not related to if the laptop works or not due to water. Why should I care? In any case the laptop never had water spilled on it.

I left the laptop there and they gave me a 3-5 day window to check it out. My question is, what should I do if they call me and tell me that I need to pay $400+ to get it fixed?

Thank you all

LOL! I just got an email from Apple that my laptop is ready for pickup without any other notice. So, I guess they replaced it and I am good to go!
