Why are they called Geniuses?

Is every worker in the Apple store a "Genius", or just some?
 
The support guys are called Geniuses so you hesitate to question them when they say something wrong.

Not everyone in an Apple store gets the "Genius" tag. They are called that because they are supposed to know everything about your computer. I haven't had a personal experience with a Mac Genius before, but I do hear they help more then Geek Squad.

I'd think a lot of the people here are better than 75% of Geek Squad in terms of computer knowledge. As with the Genius, well I suppose it sounds better than "Apple Mac, iPhone, iPod, and software repair, diagnostic, and training technician?"
