I'm at a bit of a loss with this one.
We have a client who is having issues with location services on any MAC device i.e. Watch, iPad, MAC. The devices seem to bounce him around the world into random places in America, India and even the Atlantic Ocean.
When he is off the WiFi it operates normally, soon as he is on it, it goes mad. It's also fine on WiFi in places like coffee shops.
We're using a Draytek 2862, with UK based time servers. We've tried Open DNS, BT's and Googles DNS servers.
The Ubiquiti settings are all UK based. I use a website Geo-IP locator it locates as in the UK, but all Apple devices are all over the place. It happens on multiple devices, including my engineer's apple devices when they are at his house, but not when back at work.
As it's happening on multiple devices including my engineers, it's not like it's a setting on the devices them selves that i can work out.
We use Ubiquiti and Draytek all the time and have never had this issue.
I can force the time zone to be right and the weather, but it doesn't really sort the issue, other than as a work around.
There is no VPN on the router either.
It's the bouncing around that makes no sense. One minute they're in America, next they're in the north atlantic, next they're in India.
Any ideas?
