HomeKit Geofencing under IOS12

Hello,
under Homekit I have set up an automation to open my gate when I am approaching home.

Under IOS 11 it used to work randomly, about 50% of the times yes and 50% not. Under IOS 12 nothing seems to be changed.

Is there something I am missing to make geofencing always work?

Ps, there is good cellphone coverage, phone is aways charged so?
