GeoGenius is my new application that puts your geographical knowledge to the test. What makes it stand out from other app's of its kind is the amount of locations that is more than 10X of what most other applications offer. All the locations are also very accurately placed on a 3D globe with coordinate data from Google Earth. You are able to post your score on the global leaderboard and compete with the whole world as well as on Facebook to compete with your friends.
The game is also anonymously collecting play data if players are connected to the internet. And if enough data is collected a better version of this game will be released. That version will include a difficulty curve in the form of different stages. In the first stages the player will be required to find easier locations like London, Paris and so forth and as the game advances it will get more difficult with each stage.
