So Cal
Back last year before the 12 series was released, I wished for a folio wallet like the one I just found. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/iphone-12-case-wish.2253561/

Geometric Goods out of Poland makes a terrific MagSafe folio wallet for the 12 series of iPhones. I found them on Etsy. Just as a point of reference, I have had 100s of folio wallets over the past 15 to 20 years. For all kinds of phones and previously PDAs. I prefer the folio over a simple case. I find it easier to kind of grip the top cover with my left hand and control the phone with my right hand, especially with a Max sized phone where I can’t easily grip. My preferred folio wallets have a removable case. This way I can when needed use the phone alone, like with a gimbal or just for photography. I honestly have never used just one folio wallet because I get tired of the usually cheap snap on case that you have to use with it. That's why when I heard rumors of the 12 series having magnets, my wish was for a folio wallet where I didn’t need a case, or if I wanted to, use any case with the proper magnets.

I ordered two different versions of their MagSafe folios. One with a magnetic latch and one without. I plan to switch off depending on what I feel like. (Please don’t judge me, I know myself and I just had to know the experience of both.) I noticed on Etsy that they make several different versions, with different closures. Mine has a large prominent closure and they do make some with simpler ones. So far though, I am loving the experience with the folio that doesn't have a closure.

The leather is so nice. It looks, feels and smells terrific. I am currently using an Apple leather case. My 12 Pro Max perfectly aligns itself and attaches to the folio. The hold is solid. Apple supposedly will put stronger magnets in the next version of the iPhone. The folio that doesn't have a closure has a folded leather to the top cover. I just love the look. Both have room for 3 cards in the outer cover and a large pocket where I'm carrying some bank notes and 3 cards.

Bottom line, they are beautiful and perfect. The best thing is I can use any MagSafe case or go caseless. These will definitely outlast my 12 Pro Max. All I can hope for is the next iPhone I get is the same general size and the placement of the magnet is the same.

Nicely made. Looks a bit like a silicon case modified lol

Wow, what a dream setup. I have always wanted a folio case that also allows one to "pop-out" the phone when needed... even better is the pop-out case can be Apple Leather!! I hope when I get my iPhone 13 that I can do your setup. Sweet!!!

The best just got better! I have bought and used hundreds of wallet cases over the past 20 years or so. I have the original version of this wallet. This new version adds some great improvements. It added what I’m going to call a magnetic thumb latch closure. It works perfectly. I have never seen one like this with just a bottom latch that adheres to the side of the wallet. It is very minimal adding no bulk at all to the wallet. Fits easily in my front pocket. Another refinement is in the inner pockets. There are 2 pockets inside of the front flap. The upper pocket now has a center slot to fit cards. It is no longer just an open pocket. And the pull strap is now affixed and pulls out and returns to its closed position holding the cards in by the width of the strap end. I love this improvement! Then below this pocket is another one completely open for bank notes. The other new feature is on the back with fully enclosed camera protection. This is a great addition especially if I decide to go without a case. Great quality leather. It feels and looks great. Love that I can use any MagSafe case, I’m not stuck using one particular case. Thank you GeometricGoods for making such a beautiful wallet.
