Most likely not if it is a eMac monitor failure. Exactly what kind of cables will I need if 5' away? Click to expand... Apple miniDVI to VGA cable and a VGA extension cord. Monoprice sells an adapter cable too now. Is it important to do it before it goes so I can see what I am doing? Click to expand... Yes. Well not 100% sure if the external monitor automatically turns on mirroring - that is all the built in video on many eMacs officially supports.
