Geotagging photos/videos in photos app

is there a way to geotag a photo/video in the Yosemite Photos app?
If no, any suggestion for an external app doing that job?

No, there is no way to geotag a photo/video in Photos yet. Possibly in the future. There are 3rd party apps from the Mac App Store that can geotag photos, but outside of Photos. Photo GeoTag is one.

Don't know why Apple left this out, but hopefully it was just a matter of it not being ready at the Photos release date. Leaving feedback with Apple is probably the best way to get it back. https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html

For what it's worth, it looks as though this will be included in OS X 10.11. Yay!

How do you know? Was hoping on an update to photos now. 10.11 is still a long way off
