I have a Macbook Pro that came out before the first Multi-touch Macbook Pros (the Early 2008 ones).

Now, the one I have has two-finger gestures (such as Right Click, and Scrolling).

How come the Pre-2008 MacBook Pros can't do Pinching and Rotating (as those are two-finger gestures)?

Any incite is appreciated.

different hardware.

if you can get a top case with keyboard it will work.

I think there was a thread about this a coupla weeks ago. I believe somebody modified the trackpad .kext file to enable MBP's to do more multi-touch gestures. You can download it and replace the original .kext file and it should work. Search the forums for it.

So it's hardware even though it's two-finger? Ah, worth a try.

And I found the thread SHADO was talking about - but it was for Early 2008 Macbook Pro's to get 4 finger gestures and small post about Pre-2008 Macbook Pros (no successful chance of updating gestures for Pre-2008ers).

Thanks guys.
