The thing I love the most about my new rMBP is the gestures on the track pad. I'm using the full set, from 1 finger right up to 4, and I'm wondering how I ever managed without them.

I assume that the desktops come with a wireless mouse, so does this mean you don't get the gestures?

If a Mac uses a gesture based input device like the Magic Trackpad or the Magic Mouse or other mice with multi-touch ability, gestures can be used with those Macs too, as the multi touch gestures are built into Mac OS X.

For more variety: BetterTouchTool and MagicPrefs

I use a Magic Trackpad when my MBP is docked at home. I actually prefer it over the MBP's trackpad due to its larger size.

They get gesture support when you use a trackpad on them.

Thanks. Just got to talk the boss into letting me have a Mac desktop, now. :D
