Amazon and Best Buy are both discounting Apple's 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro to record low prices this week, offering $300 off select models of the computer. In this article we're focusing on the 10-core configurations of the computer, but you'll also find sales on other M4 MacBook Pros at both retailers.

Starting with the 10-core 16GB RAM/512GB 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro, you can get this model for $1,299.00 [Amazon/Best Buy], down from $1,599.00. This is the entry-level model of the M4 MacBook Pro, and it's never dropped below this price.

You can also get both 1TB 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro models on sale this week. The 10-core 16GB RAM/1TB model is available for $1,499.00 [Amazon/Best Buy] and the 10-core 24GB RAM/1TB model is available for $1,699.00 [Amazon/Best Buy]. Both of these are also $300 discounts and record low prices on each computer.

These non-pro models are getting larger discounts than the pro and most max models. Maybe there’s not as much demand as Apple expected for a MacBook Pro that includes the same CPU as an iPad.

Similar price ($1,299.99) at Costco. With their Executive Membership and credit card, you'll get 4% back coming to a total price of ~$1,247.99.

My M1 Pro model and I are holding out for the late 2026/early 2027 OLED slimmed down model. It's one of the best laptops I've ever owned but my sole critique is that it's a chonky boy compared to the 13" Intel MBP I had before it. Shame the Air can't be upgraded to the MBP's screen as a BTO option otherwise I would consider it.

Struggling to decide if moving up from an M2 MBA for this deal is worth it. Eyeing the 12-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 24GB RAM, and 512GB storage option at Costco.

Do the M4 models (Air, MBP) handle macOS 26 any better than my M2 MBP? Since updating, basic tasks chew through battery twice as quickly as the prior OS version.
