Both Amazon and Best Buy have nearly every model of the 10th generation iPad for $70 off this week. Prices start at $279.00 for the 64GB Wi-Fi iPad [Amazon/Best Buy], which is a match of the best price we've tracked so far in 2025 and an overall second-best price on the tablet.

Both Wi-Fi models are available at these $70 discounts in all four colors: Yellow, Silver, Pink, and Blue. Both the Amazon and Best Buy discounts have been automatically applied and do not require any coupons or exclusive memberships.

Stock isn't as abundant for cellular models at either Amazon or Best Buy, but you can still find a few on sale. The 64GB cellular is down to $429.00 [Amazon/Best Buy] and the 256GB cellular tablet is available for $599.00 [only at Amazon].

So what was the best ever price on the 64GB Wifi model? I hate when MR states something is the 2nd best price ever and then neglects to mention what the best price was. Having that info is a huge help for us buyers.

Anyone know what the best price on the 256GB Wifi model was, too?

Thanks!

An updated version is well overdue. Somebody please ask Mark Gurman when it’s coming.
Yes this iPad is in desperate need for a refresh. Seeing an A18 with 8GB RAM might actually make me pull the trigger on one if that is what is coming soon. That would be a huge jump in specs. And base model would start at 128gb storage would be a nice touch as well.

I did a simple search for “Apple's 10th Gen iPad,” on MacRumors, and came across this post: https://www.macrumors.com/2024/12/19/10th-gen-ipad-returns-black-friday-price-2/. Thus, my guess is that $249.99 is likely the lowest price ever.

we have one that we use as a nursery monitor for our nest cam. When I have to use it for simple tasks it surprisingly does a good job. Definitely not a very future proof device at this point though.

I'm with you but we can forget about it starting at $349. If RAM goes to 8GB and base storage to 128GB then I don't even think a $449 start is realistic in this market especially considering the general public have become accustomed to recent inflation and modern corporate greed and these circumstances give bean counters a narrative about how giving us less for more to the point we're too sore to sit down is vital to the survival of capitalism and most of us will believe it.

That’s a good point actually. Apple doesn’t typically increase prices unless there is a design change, which we got with the 10th gen iPad itself. I think we could bank on the $449 price and then the following year Apple drops it down to $349 like they have done in the past as its last years model. Either way, that would still be tempting at $449. At $349 there’s no question I would get one 😅

yes, lets watch the base iPad move upmarket in capabilities and price. the 10th gen is well priced at the moment but will become unavailable soon and the entry price for iPads will rise.

if so, then I fear that Apple intelligence is failing to do the heavy lifting that justifies the higher entry price.
