And you now have one of the best cases around.

-------

I got an Apple leather smart case for my iPad Air at a great price. Hated the cover aspect of the overall design, and easily sliced it off. Did such a clean cut you cannot even tell there was ever a cover part of the design.

Please post results on your blog?

Also, would you please describe in a bit more detail how you are using your Verizon iPad mini as a phone.
The idea is intriguing.

I share most of the sentiments of the OP and the additional comments about the Apple smart case in that thread.

(Not sure why so may asked for pictures as it is rather easy to visualize a smart case without the cover.)

Being a graphic designer (and developer) slicing the cover off with my exacto was like 10 seconds of non-thought, and it was an old blade, and, no, did not need more than one blade. The only semi-brilliance was the initial idea to do it.

I never read the post you quoted, but not surprised someone else had a similar idea...sort of a no-brainer, IMO.
