I have a 6+ that is giving me trouble. Won't turn on sometimes and also shuts off from time to time. I need to replace ASAP. Looking at a 7+ but would really wish I could wait until the fall for the 8.

My question is the upgrade program worth it? I understand you get AppleCare with it? I could get the 7+ now and then upgrade in the fall to the 8 as long as I've made some advanced payments. I could always just roll with the 7+ and upgrade to the 8+ next February as well if that makes the most sense

Not sure if this is worth it or not.
Thoughts?
