My father is going to Boston, MA tomorrow for some workrelated stuff. And I wonder where in Boston do they sell iPhones that doesnt come with the ATT contract? Is there a local applestore?

I live in Sweden and really want a iPhone ^

There are several Apple and ATT stores in the Boston area. Probably the most accessible Apple store to downtown Boston is in the Cambridgeside Galleria, followed by a store in Newton.

There are also several ATT stores in Boston, including one in Downtown Crossing.

Apple is also building a new store near the Prudential building.

In any case, there are a lot of places to pick up an iPhone in the area.

If we want to be sure not to get a iPhone with a contract the applestores are the best bet to go to? Or can you get one in the ATT retailer stores also?

Yes, you can go to either. The iPhone will not be activated at the store. Instead, you have to activate it via iTunes at home.
