Get AppleCare+ and Keep Grandfathered Data?

Hi All,

I'm grandfathered into unlimited data on my current iPhone and don't want to lose it...I also want to get applecare+ this time through.

I tried preordering on apple.com and it makes me choose between 2GB, 5GB, and 10GB data plans - no option to keep my existing unlimited plan. I tried ordering on verizon's site and it lets me keep my unlimited data, but does not let me order applecare+. Any solution here?

You can purchase Applecare+ when you receive your device, it doesn't have to be at time of pre-order.
 
If you did NOT purchase AppleCare+ at the time of your preorder....you can only purchase it at an Apple Store. The reasoning according to Apple is that the AC+ is not available to any phones purchased prior to Oxt 7th. The website cannot verify when u purchased your phone but the store can.

Here's a bit from my order confirmation.:

If you purchased the AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone, you're covered for technical support and hardware repair for up to two years from the original purchase date of your iPhone. If you haven't yet purchased the AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone, you're eligible to purchase it any time while your iPhone is under its original one-year warranty.

Just FYI I was told last year by my local apple store it is cheaper to purchase it in the store from them than online. I don't know if that is only my local apple store or all of them.

They just told me when I go to buy it next time contact them first.

You can purchase it anytime within the first year.


Also when I pre ordered my phone last night I had a selection for unlimited so I selected that since that is what I had.

That is what I did last year as well.

Im one of the lucky ones that ATT gives me the discount every year even thought I sign a 2 year agreement. :D
