Today we're tracking a new all-time low price on Apple's AirTag 4-Pack, which has hit $69.99 on Amazon, down from $99.00. This sale beats the previous record low price by a few dollars, and it's one of the best overall early Black Friday deals that we've seen so far this season.

Warning: these things are absolutely impossible to change batteries after a year. You have to trash them after a year.

We've had 10-15 AirTags in backpacks, key rings, luggage, etc. for years and have never had a single issue changing batteries. It's so simple I don't know how it could be easier. Great product.

Here's one of MANY videos demonstrating how dead simple this is:

It's because they might corrode on stuck, as well as the polished metal cover being very difficult to grip to remove, since you have to rotate them to remove it and there is no grip for that, making it impossible to remove if corroded stuck. It's an accessibility nightmare. I've taken them to the Apple Store and even the clerks had hard time removing them.

The concept is fine, the execution is horrible.

The concept is great, it sounds like it's your experience that was horrible.

Amazon matched them, so I bought a single for my spouse, who notoriously misplaces his keys. I already bought one when they were released for my own keyring. It's not the easiest battery to change for sure, and it takes some real effort, but the trade-off is that they're small.

Don't really have a need for these, but just picked up the set of four on Amazon.

Correct. If they can't get the experience right it means its a flawed product.

They really need to make it more accessible.

Whether you like it or not, no product is perfect for all people. Instead of auditioning your complaints here, try submitting feedback to Apple. Change takes work, depending on how much you actually care. And if you make a genuine attempt and get no response, maybe try a different product like Tile.

Well in NC bought a 4-pack for 85.00 on Amazon. The updated Version is coming in 2025. price is dropping

Yah Apple needs to fix their products. They are already well aware of their design problems, they just choose to ignore it.

There are no perfect products or services. Expecting them to be is naive. Fortunately, you have the freedom to buy a different brand. After all, what rational person would continue to buy products/services from a company they complain so much about and/or whose products don't work for them? Vote with your wallet and put your money where your keyboard is.

Correct. This is why we warn people of flawed products.

There's zero inherent causality between your experience and whether a product is flawed, and your experience doesn't necessarily have any statistical significance. That aside, you'll probably be much happier buying equivalent products/services from another company. Why deliberately purchase products/services that don't work for you?

I've shared my opinions on products plenty of times. I usually say why it didn't work for me or why I didn't like it, and perhaps share an alternative I did like. I said this recently about the latest Twelve South Butterfly charger. I like the company and have some of their products but I think the Butterfly missed the mark, at least for me. I think the Anker offerings are superior. Is that true for everyone? Not at all. Some people agreed with me and some people love the Butterfly. But to categorically label it as "flawed" for everyone would be juvenile on my part if I prefer to have my opinions taken seriously.

Has anyone ever seen a similar deal in the UK? If I could get 4 for £69 I’d buy them but they’re just too expensive here for my use / justification.
