Mini m5 incoming?
Probably not yet or soon. Apple as of lately ramped up discounts across stores to match or excel edu discount - my subjective guess is they are ramping up sales figures by lowering margins because the stock is under pressure to show market beats which is hard given latest news, so they are trying to sell more units for less money to overall capture more sales.

I wonder if all these Apple sale prices indicate that Apple sales are down ?
Likely Amazon wants to move inventory and have potential buyers come to their page. Amazon, Best Buy and other retailers run their own sales independent of Apple. In fact, unless you need something custom from Apple, it’s best to just buy it from their retail partners. You can add AppleCare to any Apple device no matter where you buy it.

It's pretty obvious that Apple uses retailers to run sales for them and offload inventory.

Very good price for the mini. Planning to get one soon. However there are no sales in my country and looks like I will have to pay the full price.

Usually there is an equation with Amazon where they know if someone purchases a Mac mini they are going to sell a Keyboard, Monitor, Mouse, desk equipment, etc. They may actually lose money on the anchor product but they make up for it in accessories. A Mac mini is clearly a driver of accessories because it comes with nothing.

Almost beats out some of the education pricing. The 512GB storage model with 16GB of RAM is perfect for so many people. The price of $689 is a very good deal on it.
That price has been changed back to $729.

Yea, but there have also been price reductions and recent sales on MacBooks and iPads too. I think demand is just down across the board.

For amazon it may also be a a loss leader type calculation, they know folks buying minis might also buy mice, keyboards, monitors, docking stands like those from satechi and raycue, cables, desk accessories, mounting supplies, etc, all of which are higher margin for them than a mini at full price is
