Hi
I have two computers on my desk and they are both connected to one monitor. I swift input on the monitor according to what i need to do - browsing, rendering etc.
Computer one: MacBook Pro 2009
Computer two: Mac mini 2012
Monitor: HP z27i
The MacBook is connected via Display and the Mac mini is connected via HDMI. Its a fairly good setup, but i have one big problem with it. With the Mac mini i cant get the full resolution on the HP monitor with the HDMi connection. I can only choose 1080i and the monitor supports 2560 x1440.
How do i get the full resolution on the monitor with both macs? Is the HDMI cable at fault or do the mini not support higher resolution than 1080i through HDMI? What equipment do i need to buy to get a 2560 x1440 on the mac mini?
