Get iMessage conversations from iPhone to Mac

Hey, I've been trying to get old imessage conversations to sync from my Iphone to imessage on my macbook and so far haven't had any luck. I can start new ones that will sync between devices no problem but nothing from the past.

I hope someone can help get this sorted as Its not that practical to have to restart every conversation.
