When ever I try to open the get info window (or the inspector) on anything Finder crashes. I have just updated to the most current security update. How do I fix this?

I had actually looked all over the place for an answer to this same question, as using the "Get info" option would cause the Finder to crash on my Powerbook. It annoyed me to no end. But then, suddenly one day, it started working again. It started right after I updated to 10.4.6. After it started working again I tried to think about anything I did that may have caused it and I found that it was because I had changed the default language in OS X to German and after switching back to English, it works again. To test, I just changed it back to German before writing this post and the same problem appeared again. Going back to English now...Do you have another default language active in OS X on your Mac?
