Realized my paragraph was way too confusing, can someone just explain Keychain to me?

Is only Login backed up when you do a Default Reset?

I am trying to import a file from the Keychain folder and it wants the password I used for the Keychain at that time. (over a year ago)

I have no idea what this password is...

I found the Wikipedia Apple Keychain article by typing Mac OS Keychain into Google. It is the second result from the search criteria used in the Google search. There are also other results that I did not link to that may be worth reading. If you need additional information after reading the Wikipedia article I would recommend reading some of the other Google search results.

Wikipedia is a great website that you can use for researching things you want to learn about. Google is a great search engine for that you can also use for researching things you want to learn about.

When you are trying to access the old Keychain it is asking for the last password that was used to encrypt that specific Keychain with, even if it has been over a year ago since you last accessed that specific keychain.

I have no idea what this password is...

Then you will not be able to access the keychain. The security of the Keychain would be pointless if it could be easily bypassed.
