Sorry if this is a useless post or if it has already been posted but I didn't know about it and found it helpful myself.
You can turn on order status notifications by doing the following
1. download "Apple Store" app in the app store
2. open the app and log in
3. click "more" in the bottom right of the app
4. click "notifications" and make sure that order status is switched to "on"
5. close the "Apple Store" app
6. open "settings"
7. click "notifications"
8. scroll down until you find "Apple Store"
9 make sure notification center is switched to "on"
Again, sorry if this is already general knowledge but I was unaware of it and thought it might help someone else out.
