Hi,

trying to find a way to get my photos and videos off the latest iPod touch, only thing i have found so far is to email them :(

This is a guess as I only have a 1st gen iPod touch (my 4th is being delivered as I type), but it should appear as a Camera/Portable Device under My Computer. I know for sure pictures will appear there, but I am unsure about videos.

Edit: Assuming you are using Windows, you didn't specify.

Correct, that is where I found my pics and vids from my Touch 4.

for mac?

-plug in ipod.
-click your applications folder (on the dock)
-find "image capture", click, look to the right and find your ipod
all of your pics/videos on your ipod is listed there...decide where you want to import it at on your mac (it better to import it to desktop to find it) , press import

i think iphoto works too but it's just for pics

In Windows 7 it appears as a drive or device you can open within the OS itself. I doubt you even need itunes installed.

thanks for the response, image capture has worked great.

now i'm wondering if there is a way to manage my photos/videos through iTunes and if there isn't, why not? hopefully I just haven't stumbled on it yet!
