I bought a launch iPhone 5, but alas, it's $50 off at BBY this week. I bought it with my Citi card, but they only offer it for the first 30 days. any tips? thanks.

I bought a pair of jeans at the beginning of the season and now they're 50% off on sale... price match!!

I believe the Citi card offers price protection called Price Rewind program. Within 30 days, you can use this service to search retailers for reduced price. As long as they found it, and you still have your old receipt, you can apply for the refund...

I think the Citi Simplicity card offers 60 days...

unless you just bought it within 30 days ago with a Citi Card...and the program will get you that refund...

just saying that you can..

If you go to Best Buy looking for a price match now, someone there may put you in a chokehold. I would just leave it alone.

Bought a 16gb iPhone 5 on December 3rd for $199.

Just called BB and they told me to bring in the receipt and they'll refund me $50 to match their current sale price of the iPhone.

They said you would have to be within the return period.

If you paid cash they'll give you $50 back. If you paid by CC they'll put $50 back on your card.

Just thought I'd share.

That's the price you pay for being that " gotta get it on the first day " kind of guy.

Cost of bragging rights = $50!

TIP: Resist the urge to be an early adopter. People who wait tend to be rewarded with better deals.
