Amazon is hosting best-ever prices across the entire M4 MacBook Air lineup, with discounts that beat last month's Prime Day prices by about $50. In total, you'll find $200 off every M4 MacBook Air notebook right now on Amazon, with both 13-inch and 15-inch models on sale.

Starting with the 13-inch models, Amazon has $200 off all three configurations of this notebook. Prices start at $799.00 for the 256GB model, then rise to $999.00 for the 16GB/512GB model and $1,199.00 for the 24GB/512GB model. Every deal represents a new all-time low price on the M4 MacBook Air.

Moving to the larger display models, Amazon has both 512GB versions of the 15-inch M4 MacBook Air on sale this week, as well as the 256GB model. The 16GB/512GB model is available for $1,199.00 and the 24GB/512GB model is on sale for $1,399.00. Across the board, these are all record low prices on the 15-inch M4 MacBook Air.

That's actually tempting. But the M1 Air is still doing fine and not even working hard. 5% CPU right now. The M4 is such overkill. The battery is still at 89% capacity and this one was bought in January of 2021.

A USB port on the right side would be nice for cable management, but it's really a good design.

M1 Air is such an insanely good machine. I'm upgrading to M4 because I have lots of store credit that I don't want to devaluate. But every time I use the M1 I can't find another justification for moving... it doesn't even so much as hiccup with my typical use case.

Of the 10+ Apple laptops I've had over last 2 decades, it's by far and away the best.

I wish I could use an M1 MBA.

If only there had been a 15" version of it.

(aging eyes -- I just can't do less than the 15" class of laptops anymore)

I've been wanting to upgrade for a while. Truth be told my 13" MacBook Air M1 still performs really well but, I've been really wanting that 13" screen. At $800 (plus the $300 trade-in offer that ItsWorthMore offered me for my old MacBook Air), I couldn't resist...SOLD :D

This is the same deal that Best Buy has been offering for weeks. It’s true that it’s the “best ever” for Amazon I suppose, but you’ve been able to get these prices for a while.

Picked up a 13" M4 midnight MacBook Air (16/512) at Best Buy over the weekend. Best Buy and Amazon are relentlessly price-matching their (overstock) M4 lineup, though I went extra cheap by getting an open box item. After trading in my now three-year-old M2 MBA (also 16/512 midnight), the new laptop cost $550 out the door. Not bad for the extra speed, warranty, and the real bonus, support for two external monitors, which I put to good use right away. My only dilemma was in choosing between the MBA and the baseline MBP, which costs $300 more. I should be good for at least another three years. Done and dusted.

Note: the M2 Air cost me $1700 in 2022. Times have changed.

Indeed. If we are going to get a $699 M4 Air after the announcement of the M5 Air, what's the point of the A18 Pro MacBook going to be?
The M4 MacBook Air was only released in March, a full year after the iPad Pro ushered in the M4 era. If the MBA continues to be on the trailing edge of the Apple Silicon processor cycle, it makes sense that we wouldn't see a M5 version until well into next year, some months after the Pros are refreshed first.

M2: June 2022
M3: March 2024
M4: March 2025
M5: Summer/Fall 2026?

If we're to liken Mac CPUs to an iPhone-like super-cycle with incremental revisions, the M1 and M4 are the super-cycle while the M2, M3, and M5 are the increments. Net effect is that the M4 should remain fairly cheap for some time to come, tariffs pending. And that might create pricing pressure on the A18Pro-based MacBook if that product happens.

Are there any offers like this for a 1TB? Best Buy or Amazon? I never see a 1 TB option, only up to 512. I'd be tempted to swap up from my M1, but I have and need 16gb / 1 TB SSD.

My M1 spec'ed out MBA still works but man this is soooo tempting. The Apple trade-in value is 💩.
