get stuff off of older Mac's

I have a Mac Powerbook 3400c with my family tree on Reunion as well as WriteNow as my word processing. It is a working Mac. I also have an older Mac Mini, a G4 tower, an iBook g4, and a 2011 iMac. I want to get the information off the 3400c onto the iMac.

You could try an ethernet connection. The 3400c has ethernet and the 2011 iMac likewise has it.

The problem you're going to have is if your iMac is running macOS Snow Leopard (10.6.X) or higher, you won't be able to run a PPC application.

I don't believe the 2011 iMac can run Leopard - which is the last version of macOS to support PPC apps.

I used a OWC external hard drive to extract everything from a 2005 powerbook and an iMac g
4 igloo and migrated and copy/pasted the data to a macbook air in 2010. Im sure you can retrieve your “stuff” safely from all your apple products mentioned with any properly formatted drive.
