I was wondering if I could use a terminal command(or something else) to make my mac *say* something at login, and maybe even the current time?

Thanks!

What do you want it to say?

Attached is an app that says Welcome to OS X, it is (time).

Put it in the Applications folder and set it as a login item.

How do you edit this file if you want it to say something else?

How do you edit this file if you want it to say something else?

Open Automator, then "Open an Existing File"

Choose the Welcome.app, then edit away ...

If you are not comfortable doing that, let me know what you want it to say.

Go into

Welcome.zip\Welcome.app\Contents\QuickLook

There's a pdf with screenshots of Automator. I'm on a PC, so I cannot try it, but it's probably from Automator.

No need. Just follow my instructions above.
