I’m glad I went with the lightly used M2 iPad Pro versus a new M2 iPad Air based on the prices at the time.

I got Face ID instead of Touch ID which I love, a great display and it’s still an M2 processor just like the Air. That and the Magic Keyboard for that version was a lot less expensive buying it new but from a seller on eBay and I love how the Apple Pencil 2 attaches and charges magnetically.

At this price point however I might have gone the new M2 iPad Air route instead.

Can we get completely separate data spaces? limit the feature to 512gb devices so it's an upsell - apple gets the extra revenue/profit, users get more/improved privacy options. the feature is sometimes called "multiple users" but apple could replace the word "users" with "spaces" to highlight its benefits for one person to have separate spaces for more digital privacy, beyond just the ability to "lock apps" inside a single user space in ios18, and still sell the iPad as a "one device per person" mantra

Been looking for an ipad for the SO… was going to go with 9th gen, but it’s really outdated.. then 10th gen, but for ~ $249, 64GB, older A..chipset seemed like a deal for an AIR with M1 (some were $349 for BF, but 64GB) that seemed like it might be the ticket… then THIS comes around, nother Benjamin, but for M2 and 128GB (and she wanted blue anyways!) I guess this makes the most sense.. now to find some way to compound the deal with CB, AMEX or other. Like to get it to ~$400 out the door. Here comes Santa!

This is welcome news. I wasn’t thinking of buying one but now….. maayyybeee. Nah, think I’ll wait ‘till after Christmas after all. Thanks for the interesting story regardless.

It’s only 250 when you trade in an Air 4. That is a hella good deal. I might upgrade my mom’s.
Of course I just got one for $499 on Black Friday... in blue. I think the iPad Air 4 trade-in was higher that week ($255), since my final cost before tax was $244.

Just went and picked one up! Traded in my iPad 9th Gen (battery was depleting way too fast as of late). I'm not a heavy user, mostly watching videos and reading novels. Some occasional games (like Baldur's Gate, FF Tactics, Hero Emblems 2, etc.), so being able to pick it up for under $300 (with trade-in) was def a no brainer for me.

Refresh rate doesn't bother me and def light enough to hold in one hand. Perfect 👌

Though a new iPad Air is in the horizon, this is a good price for a very good iPad. It supports Apple Intelligence and should get software updates for many years.
