I just had this thought for those on the fence:

5/5S owners can buy the 6+ and just switch out the nano SIM card depending on whether they want a big screen or need portability on any given day.

Obviously not a solution for those on CDMA carriers or for those who sell old phone to fund new one.

I have thought of this too! I have some fear though I would end up carrying the old iPhone 5 everywhere and using the Plus as a mini mini iPad at home only.

Has anyone speculated we will get a large size iPod soon?

I guess one could always sell the 6+ if it went unused… or alternatively sell the 5/5S if weeks went by and it went unused.

Switch out what? According to the Apple website, 6's have a 'nano sim' that is different from previous ones. Is it the same as the 5/5s? So, unless we're talking about something else...

Good idea if they are the same ones...

Both are Nano-SIM

I thought about keeping the 5s just for whatever, but I don't actually need it I guess, so I don't know. I might just sell it when I receive the new iPhone

That is my plan for now. Use the 6+ as a mix of bigger iphone and ipad mini and whenever i want the small phone pop my sim into my 5s.

Or... i might try to trade my 5s in for some money

That is why I am keeping my iPhone 5.

Getting the 6+, keeping the 5 for my runs. I don't want to feel like an idiot with a small shield on my arm.

Plus I just bought an armpocket on which the 6+ doesn't fit and I don't plan in spending another $45 soon.

The arm pocket is amazing ! I love it!

Nice thread old cat. I've thought about this as well.

I plan to keep my 64gb 5S as backup. I just might do this.

:apple:

Only issue is that, do you really want to swap the sim card so much? Plus, the little sim tray will probably get worn. ha. :) Still, I might do it!
