im finding it really annoying that when I'm in an app, especially a third party work out app that the apple screen only stays on for around 6 seconds.

It's annnoying because when I'm working out I like to see my stats all the time and I have to keep waking the screen up.

Is there anyway to fix this? I know there is the tap thing but that isn't very useful when you have raise to wake on.

I think the answer to my question is no but I'll ask anyway.

Yea but that doesn't adjust how long it stays on for when you raise to wake or when in an app that you're using.

sorry, but that's all apple gives you - that settings screen mention above.

What kind of workout are you doing where you can stare at your wrist?
This is a real problem with 3.1. The tap to wake timer is broken.

You can set the screen timer to 15 second or 70 seconds. It doesn't matter. It will turn off in 4 seconds no matter what.

It will even turn off even with your finger scrolling the screen.

I use the app called 7. Which is a 7 minute work out app. 12 different exercises all 30 seconds long with 10 second test periods. I need to see which exercise is next and how long is left.

It this question also applies to things like stop watch and timer I guess.

Ah, ok. Makes some sense (I think I have the same app; I've never used it, though).

Does it ping or tap when it's time to break?
