Prices on the M4 MacBook Air have continued to drop on Amazon over the past few days, with new record low prices hitting for both the 13-inch and 15-inch models. Most of these computers are in stock and available to be delivered in early June and ahead of Father's Day.

Starting with the 13-inch models, Amazon has up to $209 off all three configurations of this notebook. Prices start at $837.19 for the 256GB model, then raise to $1,001.76 for the 16GB/512GB model and $1,189.95 for the 24GB/512GB model. All three of these represent new all-time low prices on the M4 MacBook Air, and beat last week's deals by about $30.

Moving to the larger display models, Amazon has both 512GB versions of the 15-inch M4 MacBook Air on sale this week, as well as the 256GB model. The 16GB/512GB model is available for $1,225.17 and the 24GB/512GB model is on sale for $1,338.62. Across the board, these are all new all-time low prices on the 15-inch M4 MacBook Air.

That's a decent deal for the 512/24GB model, which is the one people should purchase if this is going to be your main device.

The 16/256 and 16/512 versions of the 13-inch MacBook Air is $12.80 and $48.23 more, respectively, at Costco while the 15-inch MacBook Air is $38.54 and $24.82 more, respectively. Worth it for the extra 2nd year warranty. Sales runs until 6/16/25

If you're not a Costco member, Groupon has a membership sale for $65. You get a $50 Costco Shop Card (i.e. gift card) with the purchase which makes the membership essentially $15.

Nobody carries a 1TB version. Wonder why?
Apple doesn't offer the MacBook Air with 1TB storage as a standard/default configuration. There are only three standard/default configurations: 16/256, 16/512, and 24/512. Any thing else requires placing a custom order. This applies to retailers as well.

It's this way for their other consumer-level / non-Pro Macs (i.e. Mac mini and iMac) too.

I got a new 16/512 for my wife from Costco a couple of months ago at a slightly greater discount. Costco is awesome. There are few things they sell that I'd hesitate to buy, but just want to make sure that the uninitiated know that 2nd year of warranty is Costco warranty and not AppleCare.

It just means you can't walk into an Apple store and have an issue taken care of. Worst case scenario is you get your money back and have to find a new computer.

I'd rather do Applecare because you can extend it indefinitly. Had a 2019 MBP (intel) that just went out and because they don't service that anymore replaced it with a MBP 14" with 1TB.

You can still do AppleCare if you want and you still get your first year of AppleCare included. Costco just gives you some extra insurance if you don’t buy extended.

Besides, this computer costs $800-1200. You’d be paying 15-20% extra up front when the same model could be found for a very palatable price used or refurbished in a year or two if the worst case scenario happens.

Sure I see Costco is a good plan for that regardless for any purchase. For me, Applecare is worth it for the lower cost screen protection anyway as I have kids that are hard on these.

I already have an M4 Pro and I just got my wife one of these M4 Airs, but still somewhere in the back of my lizard brain there is a voice that is whispering "Yummy! You must hoard laptops for the end times."

I personally recommend no less than 24 GB/516 GB even for the the most basic web browsing and word processing because that’s what I got and I need to justify my own purchase decisions…..NOT!

The vast majority of everyday users will be perfectly happy with the base model at this great price, without having to pay premium for upgrades they will never use. Why pay $350 extra….~40% more for something you don’t need?
