Too bad the specs they have are not what I need. I'm waiting for the M4 max with 64gb ram, 4tb storage.

Must find a way to purchase directly from US. In Sweden M3 16/1TB costs around $2760.
Same in Poland.

I'm so damn jealous of you guys living in the US, not only you get much cheaper electronics, but you get actual awesome discounts.

I'm not even gonna comment on the difference of salaries... :(

I bought the M3pro 14/512 at the previous discount. Still waiting to gauge whether to upgrade myself or my wife.

My wife records lots of music on a 2020 M1 Air with upgraded 16/512. This would be more CPU than she needs, as none of the music has an issue at all. She could use more CPU. And we could still sell the M1.

I am interested in more graphics bang-per-buck. Deciding whether to use this for my upgrade or spend on an M4 in the future. I know the M4 will obviously have greater CPU/GPU efficiency/power/throughput. But estimating to gate the real gains, I'd be paying more money, anyway.

My wife's cousin and her husband in Poland live in a small town, and they both work. They earn about 5100USD per month. Compared to any European country, salary is good. You also need to take in account cost of living. I know that COL is high in Poland now compared to 10-15 year ago but, people do earn much more now. 68.5% of Americans do own their home (mostly banks are owning) But in Poland it is 87.3%. And in Poland they DO OWN their houses.

WHAT 😲
Do they earn $5100 combined or each? Because $5100 per person is a boatload of money here! This is income of either a senior specialist (like an engineer, lawyer or doctor) or a manager at a very good paying company.

That is not true at all. We earn much less than western European or Scandinavian countries. The median income in Poland is ~ $1400 with the average at ~ $2000.

Which is really high when compared to our earnings. Renting a small (1-2 room) apartment in larger city (not Warsaw!) can easily eat up more than half of the salary. I'm not even gonna mention cars, which are stupidly expensive compared to our income. To buy a used, 5-year old VW Golf I'd have to work 11 months. That's nuts. And I earn close to the average salary.

I'm happy for your family, they seem to be really well off. But they are in no way an average polish family in terms of money!

$5100 is combined. But they have own house in a small village. Built house self and no loans.
I live in Sweden, many people earn about $2000 after taxes. It is not sufficient when you consider cost of living. And having own house without any loan is almost impossible for many people. The good thing is social security in Sweden, free medical and free education at any age. So, many Swedes are not so rich as many believe.
Yes, there many who earn a lot more but such category you can find in every country.

Living debt-free is great.
My values were pre-tax though, so after taxes it would be ~ $1000 median and ~ $1400 average income.

Of course the quality of life in Poland has increased greatly in the last ~ 30 years or even in the last ~ 10 years.
In 2014 if someone had an iPhone he was either really well off or had wealthy parents. Right now, at least in bigger cities, every 2nd or 3rd person seems to have one. Also MacBooks are much more common today than a couple of years ago.

When I bought my MBP at the start of my uni (~ 6 years ago), I'm pretty sure I was the only one person having a MacBook in my group (~ 100 people). Near the end of the course, essentialy every 5th or 6th person had one.

I understand what you mean. 6 years ago many schools (Higher secondary) use to loan a Macbook to students. After three years of use, they could buy it for $70-100.
