Getting 4s from 3gs , procedure help ?

I am getting the 4s (64 gig) via UPS tomorrow.

Is there a doc for how to set it up?

I ordered thru AT&T and this is an upgrade of a line so it has the same phone number as my old phone.

Is this my steps ?
1. power off my old phone ? Necessary ?
2. Go to AT&T's activation website
3. Sync with Itunes ?


Or is #2 / #3 swapped.

Also, any way to verify AT&T did not mess up my data plan and text plan ?

Shut the old phone off. Turn the new phone on. Viola!

With iOS 5 the whole idea was that you don't ever have to hook it up to a computer if you don't want to.
