I am talking about the 5th Avenue Apple Store. How hard is it to get a job there as one of those guide or people who help you out with your appointments near the Genius Bar?

I'm going to guess its a tad difficult because its an Apple store. Combine that with the state of the economy and its even more difficult. However, you may just get lucky because with the rumored iPhone release and confirmed 3.0 release, they may need a few extra hands. Give it a shot! Worst they can say is "no."

I applied once already and one of the people there told me to list as many applications in my resume as possible. A computer randomly picks a few resumes with the most "mac" applications name in it and then they select. He told me to re-apply.

How can any one person seek employment when even the most basic of all requests are overlooked?

Here are the results to your search ... read, review, and come back if you're still a bit perplexed.

One more for the road.
