I read this post in my search for a guide or tutorial to get a local web server up and running, but I didn't come up with anything solid for a n00b such as myself. Where should I go to get some tips on getting a local server up and running?

On 10.3 and 10.2, Apache is included. Simply go to System Preferences, then Sharing. Check the box for Personal Web Sharing.

The configuration files are in /etc/httpd and the docs for it are at Apache's site

Gratzi for the replies, I'm now on my way to my first "Made on a Mac" website! (which, by the way, will proudly display the "Made on a Mac" banner)
