Hey gents, after much internal debate I decided to swap my personal phone for the 11, however I have a trip coming up that’s taking me international, and as far as I know Verizon has a 60 day locked policy now, i tried calling Verizon but I ended up waiting for a long time before giving up.
Is this locked policy only applicable to domestic carriers such as t mobile and att? Or is it locked for abroad carriers like orange or Vodafone as well.
My 3rd option is basically paid out of my a$$ for Verizon international plan, which I rather not get since I have foreign contacts where I’m going and I don’t think they will be too happy to see my us number coming up when calling.

If not on Verizon's upgrade plan, buy from Apple sim-free. Phone comes unlocked. Then, as mentioned, eSIM for Verizon, physical sim for overseas provider.

You didn't say how long the trip was. Verizon Travelpass isn't bad for shorter overseas trips ($10 a day).

20 to 30 days, its a semi business trip, im going to another country to look for property deal for investment. for that i need constant internet connection talking to the investor while im on site. if i do the travel pass its gonna be 200 to 300. vs buying vodafone prepaid sim which is about 30 to 40 bucks.
