Hello everyone,
I recently purchased and 240GB SSD ( OCZ Agility 2) for my 2.5 years old 15' macbook pro 5.1. The drive is not arrive yet but I realized I lost my original installation disc.

My question is, how do you install a fresh lion osx (bought in appstore) on the SSD drive without going thru leopard-> snow leopard--> lion upgrade madness.

cheers,

A

thanks for your answer dude, but could you provide a little bit detail on how to re-download osx lion in appstore?

----------

You may have to re-download your purchase of Lion from the app store if you didn't save it before installing Lion the first time.

Then, once you have the image, follow this guide to make a USB flash installation drive. You will now also have a backup/repair/reinstall flash disk!

Just log into appstore with the same account you purchased Lion with originally, and look at "Purchased" and it should give you the option to install. Download and follow the instructions in the link.

If you're already on a Lion machine, be sure to hold down option when clicking "purchased" or the install option will be greyed out.
