Hi all!
I'm on a 30 day rolling contract with CPW (their equivalent of O2's Simplicity tariff). I called them today to get a PAC code, so that I can buy an iPhone direct from Apple (who still seem to have plenty in stock).
The gentleman on the other end of the phone said that, rather than go through the normal process of sending a letter and then waiting for the PAC code to arrive, I should buy the phone and then call CPW with the IMI number that's printed on it. They will then immediately send me my PAC code, which I can use for activation.
Has anyone else tried this? How does it square with Apple's policy of activating the phone in-store?
Thanks for any answers,
Adam
