I dropped my iPhone 5 in the toilet a while ago for no more than 2 seconds or so and immediately turned it off and did the whole rice thing and have had no problems since. The moisture indicator in the SIM card slot was not triggered, and I was wondering if there's any chance the internal sensors could have been triggered? I was planning on getting a replacement under warranty because of a defective lock button but I do not want to end up having to pay a **** ton after finding out the warranty was voided.

My phone fell in the toilet for just as long as yours did and since I have AppleCare they gave me an express replacement at only $50 cost to me. I don't know if you have AppleCare or not but they've helped me tons when it came to replacing my phone. If you don't have AppleCare my best bet is that they might have you pay $229 for an out of warranty replacement. Since the water damage detector didn't bust (mine didn't either) they should be able to help you
