Getting a Unsupported canon duplex printer to work with 10.6.8?

We're trying to get a Kodak DL2100 working on a mac pro (10.6.8) but of course kodak don't make any drivers for it on a mac.

We've looked at splix and gutenprint, but no joy with either of those.

Has anyone got any other suggestions?
