Can it affect my Mac partition in anyway or my macbook pro overall?

I am planning to bootcamp.

Wot happens in Windoze stays in Windoze . IIRC you can't even write to the Mac OS partition by default, not that it would matter either way.

No, it can't affect the Mac partition or Mac OS X. Windows apps, including malware, can't run on Mac OS X. Also, you would have to intentionally make your Mac partition writable from Windows, which is something you can't do accidentally. Run a good antivirus on the Windows side and you'll be fine.

Plus the whole Window virus scare thing is vastly overblown. I ran various incarnations of Windows for 12 years and didn't have a single virus.

Microsoft Security Essentials is all you need for peace of mind.
