Basically what the title says. I purchased an iphone 5 last year while I was living in London. I have since moved back to New Zealand and am having trouble with the wifi so I contacted apple care who first told me I can do a mail and repair. I called back 30mins later to say I would actually like a replacement phone sent to me which they then said I couldn't do either options because the phone has to be repaired in the UK.

Is there anyway around this? Besides from sending my phone back to UK (I only have 48 days left of the warranty). I just can't believe that there is no other option or that apple in the UK can't liaise with apple in Australia(Nz has no apple service centres) and sort something out. This seems so ridiculous to me. People move countries all the time. What are they supposed to do? Not move countries because they wont be able to get their phones fixed?
