hey guys, after weeks of thinking, im finally set on buying an mbp :D any recommendations on wat else i shud buy, install, or even stuff i should do for proper maintenance of the notebook to ensure it stays its form for years to come? :D

iWork, CS3, And any necessary sound/video programs like Logic Studio and FCP. Definitely max it out at 4GB Ram, buy a flash drive and an External Drive too. Good luck with your new Mac. You'll love it! :D

Highly recommend Delicious Library.

Also get VLC so you can play pretty much any video known to man.

Get a case of some kind. I recommend a neoprene sleeve (mine's by incase) and a backpack or briefcase with a padded laptop pocket.

I also love having the marware wristrest protection that I bought, but that's really a matter of personal preference.

I agree on the 4GB of RAM. NewEgg often has really good deals for like $70ish for 2x2GB. Also a nice case is essential if you're going be taking it places.
