I'm considering buying a PMG4 Sawtooth from the marketplace for my family. I need advice.

It's in good order, but it has a dead video card. What could I replace it with. I'd rather not spend a lot of money on it. The cheapest one I could find was some ATI Radeon MAC edition for over $200. They just need something to send the video out, they aren't gamers.

I'm also considering the OWC Mercury Extreme G4@1.4GHz processor for $259. I don't want to spend more than this.

Here's the killer: I plan to upgrade it to Tiger, and I don't know what it'll need to run well. I don't know about Mac, but putting Win98 on a machine built for Win95 almost killed it. I know Apple says you can run Tiger on G3, but I want it to run excellently so that I can make permanent converts out of them. It comes with 256MB, and I'm buying a 512MB stick (I believe LEM says it has 4 DIMM slots), giving me 768MB.

Here's a simplified list of what I'm currently planning on upgrading:
350MHz G4 to 1.4GHz G4
256MB RAM + 512MB RAM = 768MB RAM
Video Card (unknown)

Here's a list of what I want it to do:
Run OS X Tiger well
Run iLife '06 well
Convert them to Mac for life

Will this do it? (and what video card should I get?)
