Getting an unlocked 3G - what carrier/plan for Aus?

Hey dudes,

So I'm hopefully a lock to win this comp we've got going at work right now and the prize is an unlocked 16GB iPhone 3G.

Anyone got one? What plan did you go to?

I've been looking at 3 but when you go off their 3G network you end up roaming on Telsuck's 2G network at a whopping $1.65/MB. I've got 3G coverage down here but not at my folks' place in the highlands. They've got WiFi but if someone emails me and I'm not at home I'd be roaming.

Anyone found any good pre-pay options with the other carriers?

go with 3, i am and their awesome.

hands down the best plans and cap's available. also when you bring your own iPhone to 3 they give your $350!

on the iPhone you can switch of data roaming, which means that when you go onto roaming (telstra's 2G network) it will disable the download of data. thus no surprising bills!
