iPod touch Getting Around Slide To Unlock

I have an ipod touch that isn't really working right now. The right side of the screen doesnt work. The rest of it seems fine but the problem comes in the fact that now the slide to unlock button can't work because the bar only gets so far to the right.

I need to be able to just get by this screen once so I can install quick unlock and be able to unlock the device without sliding. Any ideas on what I can do?

Still under your 1 year warranty?
 
I don't think this type of damage is covered under warranty the screen is cracked a bit as well.
