Hello everyone, I want your advice please!

I bought first gen iphone in US last fall or so. It's jailbroken and activated to use Fido in Canada. It has worked flawlessly, but recently it developed a weird problem - there's an issue with wifi, most of the time it just hangs or it doesn't detect any networks at all. I tried calling Applecare but they gave me a run around. Is there anythign I can tell them so that they at least look at it? The phone is less than 11 months old, I'm pissed that they won't fix something that's pretty much brand new still. Any advice?
 
I saw this type of situation comming. Buying an expensive product then not being able to get service on it sucks. Good luck.
